In a time marked by technology, working anywhere is essential.
The time and resources saved can be invested in other areas of your business. Flexibility and the ability to adapt are assets for your business or company.
Although the adoption of teleworking was marked by the pandemic, two years later many employees still prefer remote work or the hybrid model.
In 1990, in an interview on the program "The Machine That Changed the World", Steve Jobs co-founder of Applewas already addressing the possibility of working from anywhere on a network. 32 years ago, it was unthinkable to adopt a working method that didn't involve working from an office.
Jobs said: "In the company, we're beginning to see that as business conditions change faster and faster every year, we can't change our hierarchical management organization too quickly in relation to changing business conditions. We can't have someone working for a new boss every week. Nor can we change our geographical organization very quickly. In fact, it's even slower than the managerial one. We can't move people all over the country every week. But we can change such an electronic organization."
"... as we start to connect these computers to sophisticated networks and large user interfaces, we start to be able to create groups of people who work on a common task extremely efficiently, no matter where they are geographically. And it doesn't matter who they work for hierarchically. These organizations can live as long as they need to and then disappear. And we're discovering that we can reorganize our businesses electronically very quickly."
